I would have surely defined Love had it been something particular. Love has more definition and meanings than the Gods or Goddesses in India. For me it may mean an exceptionally high level of understanding and for you, well.. lemme know what it is for you. Irrespective of what it is, almost every one of us want to be in love at some stage of our life.
Then what? We look around for attractive persons and personalities. Get to know them and let’s save some time by saying that things don’t work out. When they do, you can always convince yourself that it was all luck. Let me tell you friends, hiding behind my girlfriend’s bed in 10th grade while her mom was in her room at 3 am, I realized that love isn’t the only thing you need luck for.
It goes without saying that hard work pays off but when it comes to relations, experience and luck goes way above than hard work. These last few months of being single reminded me of that quote by H.D Thoreau, “Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it’ll elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it’ll come and softly sit on your shoulder”. Same goes for love. So stop chasing and let the love find you.
